Dr. Ong The Due is a health policy researcher and health economist with over 14 years of experience in health technology assessment (HTA), health financing, and health systems research. He obtained his PhD in Health Technology Assessment from Mahidol University, Thailand.

His research focuses on cost-effectiveness analysis, health technology assessment, evidence synthesis, health financing, primary health care, non-communicable diseases, health equity, and implementation science. He has played an important role in developing HTA and pharmacoeconomic guidelines in Vietnam and serves as a member of the Pharmacoeconomics Subcommittee of the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Due has worked extensively with international organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Duke University, and FIND. He has also collaborated with leading pharmaceutical companies on health economics and outcomes research.

He has led and contributed to numerous national and international research projects and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. His work supports evidence-informed policymaking and the strengthening of Vietnam’s health system.
